About Aurora Fluid Systems

Aurora Fluid Systems is a Calgary-based aerospace hardware company developing lightweight fluid-control products for aerospace, defence, and other mission-critical platforms.

We started Aurora after seeing how fluid-control components can create major development friction. When valves, regulators, and solenoids are difficult to source, slow to arrive, or poorly matched to the system, technical teams lose critical time and momentum.

Aurora exists to reduce that friction. We work closely with technical teams to develop application-specific hardware that supports demanding requirements for size, weight, reliability, and integration. Our focus is practical execution: understand the system, move quickly, build for the application, and support the path from requirements through qualification.

Our goal is to help teams build better aerospace and defence systems through lighter hardware, faster integration, and more responsive technical collaboration.

Our Team

Aurora is led by technical founders with hands-on experience in valve design, fluid systems, rocket science, propulsion systems, and spacecraft development.

Lukas Kobler
Lukas brings hands-on experience in propulsion systems, fluid-control hardware, and early-stage technical execution. He previously led propulsion for SOAR’s 2024 IREC category-winning hybrid rocket and later led Bio Rocket from concept to static fire testing in under one year.

Pierre Dawe
Pierre brings experience in spacecraft structures, mechanical design, simulation, and hardware validation. He led the structural development of FrontierSat, the University of Calgary’s first student-built satellite, from concept through manufacturing and environmental qualification.
